Battlefield Bad Company Vehicles

Drop Zone
Author: MikeI thought of an idea that would be totally cool. I just don't know if it would work... What if someone had a helicopter and just acted like a shuttle back and forth. Flying in and dropping of a specialist at a crate so he could place some C4 or fly way over behind enemy lines and drop of a sniper. I really don't think that many people would notice someone being dropped off of from a helicopter.
I've never tried it but maybe I should. I think it's because my squad usually does their own thing and you can't communicate with the entire team. It also sucks that you can't carry more than one other person, although that is the point of an attack helicopter. But if they had a Blackhawk... load it up with 4 people, give them some more armor than the Apache but make it slower and only give it one gatling gun... now THAT would work!
- You get in your car and think you only have 3 radio stations; Native, Surf, Blue Steel, and Spirit.
- You think your cell phone can call in mortar strikes if you aim it and press pound key.
- When you are not feeling well, you stab yourself in the chest with a pen.
- Anytime you hear anyone speak in a middle eastern accent you think your crates were just armed.
- You've played so much of the demo that when you get to Oasis your brain goes on automatic.
- You wake up early but are late to work because you can't pick your outfit... do you need to look like a bush or fix tanks...
- You knife you brother because he's sitting in your chair.
Rescue Mission
Author: MikeI got the full version of Battlefield: Bad Company before my friend did so that means I played a lot of the demo. I've racked up so many points and so much time that I just recently finally surpassed those stats in my real game!
Playing Oasis over and over and over, you really start to learn a few tricks.
In one particular game, my buddy decided to go extremely wide and work his way up to be even with the enemy base. Oh, we were on Defense too but he wanted to slow the other guys down, dropping JDAM's and what not. Just putting the fear in them that a sniper was somewhere out there.
He worked his way to the side, taking out guys here and there but also providing intel. Letting us know that certain vehicles were oscar mike (on the move) and where they were headed.
Staying on the side was starting to look scary as some assault classes were firing random rounds and grenades trying to see if they would hit anything. As soon as it was clear, he moved to the very rear of their base, hidden in the grass.
Well, after not too long, they realized he was back there. Destroying a few tanks, they turned around to see if they could find him. The enemy tank was only halfway back to its base to look for him when myself and an unkown team member decided it was time to mount a rescue mission.
Our man has been out there too long and wasn't about to have his number called. I hopped in a humvee and my fellow teammate manned the .50 cal. We took off from our base and went across the bridge. It was half blown up but I just hugged the wall and we made it across fine.
Driving down the long exposed straightaway, we could see we were almost even with the tank. Pushing the pedal to the floor, the humvee roared on, catching air at some of the dunes. Finally, almost there, we splashed through the water and swerved to go around the base instead of through it. The tank fired but missed.
I told my squad member to cut a hole in the back gate and wait outside of the corner building. We pulled up just as a squad member spawned on the tank, which was now in the middle of their compound. With our rear ends hanging out, my gunner swung his .50 cal around and eliminated the threat. Holding "B" to jump in as he got close, my squad mate jumped in the rear as I slammed the peal of the humvee to the floor again.
We took off straight back to our base to regroup and find a support guy, our sniper was slightly injured and our humvee needed repairs.
But we made it out.
I am an American Soldier (depending on attack or defense)
I am a Warrior and a member of a team. (play as a squad, no team killing)
I will always place my mission first. (destroy/defend those crates!
I will never accept defeat.
I will never quit. (unless you rank up and it's really late at night)
I will never leave a fallen comrade. (drop those health packs)
I am disciplined, physically, and mentally tough.
I am an expert and I am a professional. (place C4 then arm)
I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy the enemies in close combat. (knife!)
I am a guardian of freedom.

Bad Company = Bad Lag
Author: MikeOn and off this weekend I've been [trying] to play Bad Company. I got so frustrated with the lag that I would either give up or call my friend and play the demo.
A Snipers Guide to Battlefield: Bad Company
Author: MikeWhile I usually cycle through all of the classes in the course of one game, my main class choice is Recon; the sniper. I thought I would share with you some of my tips and maybe they will help you out. Or maybe it'll just give away my secrets and I'll forced to not play Recon anymore... Either way, enjoy.
Specific Map Tips
(The tips below are only for the map: Oasis and they are only for the initial 2 crates)
- Oasis: Defense
As soon as you spawn, run to the left and get over the creek. Be sure to sprint because you want to get away from the base as soon as possible because the opfor will start raining pain with the howitzer.
As fast as you can, run up the left side until you are even with the enemy base. Hide in the water in some tall grass. Also, as you are working your way up, press Start to see the full map and see if any enemy vehicles are on the move. There is quite a stretch of ground to sprint through and that leaves you pretty exposed.
Now that you have set up your base in the creek, use the laser designator and lock on to their boats. But when guiding the JDAM, instead of dropping it on the boats, aim it towards a different target. I call this "Piggyback Lockon." It keeps them surprised because they don't get a warning. In order of importance, start targeting the following: Howitzer, helicopter, tanks.
That plan works if you want to want to be a flanking sniper but if you want to be a ghost sniper, then find a spot partially advanced of your starting position but make sure you are well hidden. Let the enemy pass you before you fire. If you hit them from behind, you will surprise them and it will take longer for them to find out where the fire came from.
- Oasis: Offense
If no one goes for the howitzer, hop on and start destroying their tanks and anti air gun. But if someone wants to get on, hop off for them, you can do more damage as a sniper. Sprint to the right and go over the creek or run along the creek stopping to check for movement now and then. Work your way up near the big house thats across the bridge from the defense base.
Once you are sure that the building is clear, move to the trees and tall grass that sit along the edge of the map (approx. 2 o'clock if facing perpendicular bridge). Stay in those bushes and start picking people off and keeping an eye on the anti air gun.
Being in this specific spot will also give you an advantage for when your team destroys those crates. You can move up along the creek and head down to the fence line and continue the support
General Tips
- Unlock the laser designator
- Unlock the M95 (more damage and greater accuracy though slow rate of fire)
- Stay in the shadows, near trees and tall grass.
- If in a building, stay back from the windows. If you are right in the window you look like a picture in a frame, easy to spot.
- Unless you're running, stay crouched.
- Stay on the edges of the map. That keeps the enemy from flanking you easily.
- If you think you are spotted, stay still until you are sure that you are. Sometimes a tank will just fire in the general area hoping you will run. if you are discovered, move to another hiding spot as fast as possible. Don't forget your have a pistol too.
- If you are on defense and the attackers have the howitzer, move as slow as possible. Running will show up very well on the howitzers satellite view. Creep up and take over or drop a JDAM on the howitzer to shut it down.
Using the Laser Designator
- When you are ready to use it, make sure you are at least semi hidden (tall grass or trees) because when you are guiding the JDAM you will turn in circles. Its important that you stay hidden so your movement isn't noticed.
- Use "Piggyback Lockon." (that's my own term) Lock on to a vehicle not in use and guide the JDAM to a vehicle in use. Any vehicle can be targeted even stationary turrets (this makes it more stealthy, the opfor wont have a warning alarm go off)
- Try and use it on flying enemy helicopters, the alarm that warns them will usually scare them away and sometimes you can even hit one (I've only gotten one that way though).

BR Aiming Lesson
Author: Mike
We were curious about the BR spread in the office, so we tested out where we should aim. The first thing to note is that aiming for the top of the chest brings up the little read dot indicating a head shot. The second thing is that aiming for the head dead on will cause the spread to miss a few shots, making an upper-chest shot the way to go, especially at distance!

Work[In Progress]ing Class Halo

Have you played Halo 3?
If you have, then you have noticed the Saved Film feature where you can take pics and videos from your recent games.
Well, I decided to make a little comic using a saved game film my friend sent me. Two of my friends were down by 6 and one more death, they lose. But they came back and won it by 1.
The site is acting weird, so you can't navigate anywhere other than the homepage so check these links.
